Ingredients
For the Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese
- ¼ cup finely diced ham
For the Crispy Coating:
- ½ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing or frying)
For the Dijon Cream Sauce:
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper, to taste
💡 Ingredient Swap: Use ground turkey instead of chicken for a different variation!
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Meatballs:
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, and egg.
Fold in Swiss cheese and diced ham.
Roll into 1-inch meatballs and chill for 10 minutes to firm up.
2️⃣ Coat & Cook:
Mix almond flour, Parmesan, and paprika in a bowl.
Roll each meatball in the coating, pressing gently to adhere.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes OR bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
3️⃣ Make the Dijon Cream Sauce:
Melt butter in a pan, then stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Parmesan.
Simmer until thickened, then season with salt and pepper.
4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
Drizzle sauce over the meatballs or serve on the side for dipping.
