4 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Golden Delicious)
2 large eggs
¼ cup (50g) sugar
½ cup (60g) flour
½ cup (120ml) milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- Peel, core, and thinly slice apples (as thin as possible).
- Whisk eggs and sugar until light and frothy.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla, then sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Fold in the apple slices until fully coated in the batter.
- Pour into the cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
